Ticketing and admission:
Ticket cost: $375
Applications will be open July 1st through July 31st.
We will have full scholarship tickets available if you are facing hardship such as unemployment; the goal is for nobody to be turned away due to inability to afford a ticket. If you are not able to afford a ticket, we encourage you to still apply- we can work out a pay-what-you-can option for you if you get accepted as a player. We also will be offering payment plans.
Applications will be reviewed individually, and participants will be selected based on survey responses and random lottery- applying does not guarantee you a spot in the LARP.
This is the first full run of the LARP with the full cast of characters, though elements of it will be playtested before this event.
Costuming:
Stola style dresses (or similar light-colored, flowy dresses) for women and otherwise-feminine characters are encouraged, and are required for female characters of patrician backgrounds and members of the Cult of Liber
(a belted bedsheet with a hole for the head can suffice)
Togas for men and otherwise-masculine characters are encouraged, and are required for male characters of patrician backgrounds and members of the Cult of Liber
Faux furs or ragged animal prints as either an outer layer or under layer are encouraged
Underpants are required (skin tone or animal print undergarments encouraged)
Accessories include simple gold jewelry for characters of patrician backgrounds, crowns of leaves or flowers, grape motifs on fabric or brooches
Some characters will have more specific accessory suggestions
Gladiator style sandals or other neutral-toned shoes encouraged if you opt to not participate barefoot, but dress for comfort first and foremost
Feel free to bring a small instrument, like a hand-drum, bell, tambourine, cymbals, lute, lyre, or recorder/flute
We’ll be providing some thyrsos staves, but will not have enough for the full player group. If you want to be guaranteed a staff, you’re encouraged to bring your own!
